What’s your story—how did you get started as a wedding photographer?
For me, photography gradually became the perfect intersection of everything I love to do. I studied Graphic Design, Art, and Marketing in college (SDSU go jacks!), which is where I learned everything from composition and storytelling, to emotion, color, and form. Each one of those shaped the way my lens views the world. Wedding Photography itself sort of fell into my lap naturally. I am, by nature, a storyteller. I crave human connection and visually creating with purpose. When my first few brides asked if I would be open to capturing their wedding day, it was a no brainer in my eyes. Of course that was almost 10 years ago. Today, I bring that full-circle perspective to every couple's big day I capture. Pretty photos are for the birds, I create imagery with intention - romantic, raw emotion, and timeless.
How long have you been photographing weddings? Approximately how many weddings have you shot?
I shot my first wedding in 2016, and went full time with it in 2020. I have photographed roughly 130-140 weddings. You name it, I've handled it!
How would you describe your photography style in a few words?
My wedding photography style can be described as playfully romantic with a touch of editorial. I focus on the natural emotions throughout the day and have a strong emphasis on storytelling. Give me all the deeply personal intimate glances and that cinematic sunset.
How far in advance should couples book you?
Bride's typically book 8-18 months out from their wedding date. The sooner the better to ensure I have your date open and to allow for optimal time to book your complimentary engagement session.
What packages do you offer, and which is the most popular?
I offer two different collections. Collection One is up to 10 hours and Collection Two is up to 5 hours of coverage, however couples always have the option to add additional hours if needed. The average Brittany Maasch Photography couple finds that the 10 hour collection is perfect.
Are you the photographer who shoots the wedding, or do you have a team?
I am personally there to cover your day! I love what I do and the couples I do it for.
Do you charge a travel fee? If so, for what distance and what does it include?
I do charge for travel from Sioux Falls, SD. The rate is $0.70/mile both ways. Travel to 5 Family Ranch is $140.00.
Are albums or prints included in your packages?
I currently do not offer albums or prints (stay tuned for that) however, the Print Release is included in either wedding collection. This means you can print your photos wherever you want, however many times you want, and whatever size you want.
How long after the wedding do couples receive their images, and how are they delivered?
Your wedding photos will be delivered via email through an online gallery where you can instantly download all of your perfect images from your big day. This will be 8-13 weeks after your wedding date.
What is your cancellation/refund policy?
If you need to cancel your wedding for whatever reason, you are forfeiting your deposit, which ranges from $500 - $1000. These policies are in place to protect the business and my time. However, if you need to reschedule your wedding, I will work with you to find a future date on my books!

What a hard question as THERE ARE SO MANY GOOD ONES! From the water pond and fence line, to the FRONT and BACK of the building, there's a great spot in every corner. Did I mention the dreamy bridal suite light?
