Nostalgic Wedding Moments – In Her Own Words

1. What’s your story—how did you get started as a wedding photographer?

Growing up, I always enjoyed taking pictures—whether it was with an instant print camera, a friend’s camera just for fun, or on my phone. It wasn’t until my sophomore year of college that I had the opportunity to take a photography class. That’s when I realized photography was something I truly wanted to pursue. I began taking more in-person classes, educating myself online, and asking my friends to model for me. During my junior year, I bought my first camera and started developing my photography style and refining my editing techniques. On June 2, 2025, I officially launched LeClair Photography, and I’m so grateful for all the people I’ve met along the way. I’ve always known I wanted to get into wedding photography as well as content creation, and I’m incredibly thankful and excited to be second shooting several talented wedding photographers this summer and fall as I begin my journey into the wedding industry!

2. How long have you been photographing weddings? Approximately how many weddings have you shot?

This year is the first year that I will be shooting weddings! I had the opportunity of photographing the first dances, reception, and cake cutting at a wedding at 5 Family Ranch this past month as well as capturing content creation throughout their whole wedding day!

3. How would you describe your photography style in a few words?

I would describe my photography as rooted in joy, with a nostalgic feel, and candid moments.

4. How far in advance should couples book you?

The sooner the better to ensure you have the date you want!

5. What packages do you offer, and which is the most popular?

My packages for wedding content creation and photography are priced by the hour. This helps give the couple the choice to customize their day and decide how much coverage they want!

6. Are you the photographer who shoots the wedding, or do you have a team?

I am the photographer/content creator who captures the wedding—and will have a second shooter available!

7. Do you charge a travel fee? If so, for what distance and what does it include?

I currently do not charge a travel fee within 2 hours of Hopkins, MN. My rate for travel is $0.70/mile both ways.

8. Are albums or prints included in your packages?

I currently do not offer albums or prints in my packages.

9. How long after the wedding do couples receive their images, and how are they delivered?

Couples will receive their photos through an online gallery within 7 weeks of their wedding, sometimes earlier!

10. What is your cancellation/refund policy?

A non-refundable retainer fee of 25% is required at the time of booking to reserve your wedding date. This retainer ensures your date is held exclusively for you and is applied toward the total cost of your package. All payments made after the retainer are non-refundable once services have been rendered (e.g., engagement session, coverage, editing). If you need to reschedule, I will do my best to accommodate your new date. If I am available, the retainer will transfer to the new date. If not, the retainer will be forfeited.

11. Bonus: What’s your favorite spot to shoot at 5 Family Ranch—and why?

My favorite place to shoot content creation at the Ranch would definitely be by the waterpond, as well as the bridal suite! The back of the building with the sliding doors would definitely be one of my favorite spots to photograph.
