How did you get started as a Minnesota wedding photographer?
I’ve always loved photographing friends and family, and in college, I realized photography was something I wanted to pursue. After photographing my sister’s senior photos, my business, Skye Photography, took off in 2023. Eventually, a few clients asked if I’d photograph their weddings—and I fell in love with capturing those special days!
How long have you been working as a Minnesota wedding photographer? How many weddings have you shot?
I’ve been photographing weddings for about two years now. After this year, I’ll have photographed 15 weddings!
How would you describe your wedding photography style?
Bright, airy, detailed, and candid.
How far in advance should couples book you?
About a year in advance is ideal. My summers fill up quickly.
What wedding photography packages do you offer, and which is most popular?
Partial Coverage Package: 5 hours of coverage for $900, plus a $100 deposit. Includes complimentary engagement session, online gallery, print release, and 24-hour sneak peeks.
Full Coverage Package: 10-12 hours of coverage for $1900, plus a $100 deposit. Includes complimentary engagement session, online gallery, print release, and 24-hour sneak peeks.

Do you personally photograph the weddings?
Yes! I typically work solo but can provide a second shooter if requested.
Do you charge a travel fee?
I don’t charge travel fees for weddings within 1 hour of New Ulm, MN. Beyond that, it’s a flat rate of $50 per hour.
Are albums or prints included?
I currently don’t offer albums or prints, but you’ll receive full print rights to all photos.
How long after the wedding do couples receive their images?
Sneak peeks are sent within 24 hours. Full galleries are delivered in 2-4 weeks via an online gallery, usually with 500-1,500 images.
What is your cancellation/refund policy?
A $100 non-refundable deposit is due upon booking. The remainder is due on the wedding day.
What’s your favorite photo spot at 5 Family Ranch?
I haven’t shot a wedding here yet, but during your grand opening, I loved photographing outside against the barn doors and inside the beautiful bridal suite!
